First off, I didn't run up his ***. Second, Texas is a left lane for passing only state. Please don't move here. We already have plenty of you here.
You forgot the golden rule. Never ever talk to someone that lives North of I-20. They think funny and their Governors don't have near as good hair as old Ranger Rick.

Sorry but the left(HOV lane if that's what your talking about) in AZ is legal and where I ride because of the friggin' morons in cages that don't see bikes in the other lanes and if you want to get by me go around, I ride this lane because then I only have idiots on the right to worry about.
If you insist on camping in the left lane then don't get upset when faster traffic comes up behind you, passes you on the right and probably gives you less room than they should when they retake the left lane. Sport bikers will "strafe" you and generally you will be held up as a pariah to all who travel the highways and byways.
that right there is the key that ONLY one percent of us know about.
And why exactly is it that only 1% of us know about this? I clearly remember both my dad and my high school driver's ed teacher impressing this rule on me in the mid 80's.

Well then yes, that would make you one of the idiots the OP was talking about. Thanks for being an example.

I HATE people who camp in the left lane. Here it is because people have the cruise control set at 1/2 a MPH faster than the next guy. It may take the 20 minutes to complete the pass. Have a little respect for the other drivers/riders, and they will have respect for you.
is it so hard to think of someone other than yourself? back in 2001 sept all of a sudden people were being nice to each other. maybe if everybody was packing visibly it would be a nicer place to live. i always thought everybody should have a dart gun that had flags that say stupid and if u get three flags a cop would write u for being stupid
left lane creepers make me so mad. they dont think they're doing anything wrong and get pissed at you when you flash headlights at them to move over.
its a law in VA, slower traffic keep right. but like all laws, without enforcement they mean little. i dont ride exclusively left unless the road is empty and if someone comes up quick or flashes me, i get out of their way. who knows, maybe they're having a medical or family emergency? im not so self absorbed to think that the left lane is my lane since im on a bike
the statey would rather pull me over for my back patch than the douchebags clogging traffic in the left lane on their cell phone or ipad
