It's simply too easy to get a driver's license in this country. I swear we must hand them out like a bum handing out escort fliers on the Las vegas strip! Everyone gets one!

Anyone ever driven in Germany? They know what it means to stay right unless you're passing. And it's both difficult & expensive to get a license there (... well, moreso than here).

I think more folks die here on the highway than any war year in the last 50 years? Drivers are operating a lethal weapon and doing so should require some competence! Of course anyone can get a gun here too?? Guess we don't really value human life after all.

I've rode with a few guys that do that crap, riding in the left lane going slower that the flow of traffic. When this happens I'm done with them and take the lead and pick up the pace and move it over to the right, they can either follow or ride their on ride but I'm not going to be the guy holding up a line of angry cars.

My one bud is an old timer (76) and he drives his car like that, I make sure the door pillar protects my head cause I think someone is going to a throw a shot at him oneday; he wonders why he gets so much stink eye. I've told him just stay in the right lane and you wont have people cutting you off.

I like having a fast running rabbit in front of me, don't understand why others don't. Another thing why is it that half the cars you try to pass speed up as you're passing them? It's why when I pass I'm not fooling around, I'm going to pass you not creep along side of you for a mile, I'm passing and I'm done with you.

Yes, i have, and did again last oct. while there. Passing lane is just that. Anybody holding up traffic, especially in the passing lane Will get a ticket! I seen cops wave you on, to go faster, even in the slow lane. Overall, better drivers over there. Takes a hell of a lot more to even get a drivers license. Extensive drivers training and hardly anybody passes it on the first try. Also cost's quite a bit for each try.

Douches on the left, douches on the right! It's like "Running the Gauntlet" in all cities!

I go 10 over and if someone is in that big of a hurry, I move over and let them lead the way.

Technically, under Virginia law, it's upon "audible signal", so you'd use your horn.

§ 46.2-842. Driver to give way to overtaking vehicle.

Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle. Any over-width, or slow-moving vehicle as defined by § 46.2-1081 shall be removed from the roadway at the nearest suitable location when necessary to allow traffic to pass.

(Code 1950, § 46-227; 1958, c. 541, § 46.1-211; 1979, c. 361; 1989, c. 727.)

Here in Florida the law states "Slower Moving Traffic Must Move Over" I always get out of the way but the same can't be said for most drivers they think they own the road and everyone else needs to get out of their way.

Pick a lane and pass, you don't own the rode either.

Another one who has never driven in Houston traffic, there is no slow lane or hammer lane on US 59 in Houston, near Bush Airport
This part of the road is four to six lanes wide in each direction. Not two lanes, one for people who drive the speed limit and one for people who drive with road rage.

Why is it that everyone driving faster than you is an idiot and everyone driving slower than you is a moron?
