Default Airlite Engine Guard Chaps

Has anyone used this company? I have some chaps ordered and still do not have them. I placed the order on 1-25-2013 and have recieved two e-mails from Bob Morris of the company. He stated that they were shipped on 1-31-2013 and that he could not track the shipment via Airmail into the U.S.

I am hoping that the us mail side is the reason for the delay. I sure hope I am not being scamed.

let me know what you think or know

Thanks
Brent

Great product and customer service as far as I'm concerned. Been using them for a few years. The USPS is slow as hell now a days.....

I talked to the guy and I am sure he is legit. Gotta consider customs and USPS.

Thank you guys, I was starting to get a bit nervous. I did a lot of research and think that these are the chaps for me. Living in Indiana I would like to make my winter riding a bit more comfortable.

I appreciate your response's

Most likely no reason for concern, and Customs is probably the culprit..... BUT....
The vendor is WRONG about tracking. Anything crossing the border (either direction) needs to have a customs declaration form. That form will have it's own individual bar code and number. That number can absolutely be used to track the shipment. Contact him again and ask for that ducument (form) number and the declaration number.

Default Customs form

It is true about needing the customs forms but that only declares what the package contains, its origin and value. Evidently Canada and US are now entering into an agreement where there is tracking available on both sides but only with AirMail packages. Will have to see if that speeds up delivery times.

I had a set made for my Yamaha V-Star in 2010. Best deal out there on custom engine guard chaps in my opinion. Great guy to deal with. Sorry to hear your having a issue. Hopefully the USPS will deliver shortly to you.

I had a set on a Kawasaki Nomad I used to have. The product was great. I think back then I got it in less than a week.

I have their chaps and really like them. Need to take them off when the temp goes above 55 degrees (I think).
