Can it happen??? ( A BAGS QUESTION)
I love the Heritage bags and hate the plain (2004) RKC BAGS, it is plausible I just switch them and use the OEM brackets that are already in place??? Stupid question maybe, well into a 12 pack. Forgive me.
I think you'll find the answer clearly ( ya right ) spelled out inside the bottom of the last can of the second twelve pack ... or was it the third 12 pack ???

Hey Timmy ... I was my effort at a bit of humor ... no harm intended.
I would take some measurements and see if they are long enought ot line up with the mounting points on your King. Better yet find someone with a Heritage and take a bag off and hold it up to your bike to see if it will fit and the look is whay you are after. You might have to make a conversion bracket or something. Remember the bags mount totally different and it might not work out. Another option is take your bags to a upholstery shop and have them either recover your bags or modify them to suit you.It should be easy to add all the little chrome studs and conchos tou your bags as they are just thin leather over plasstic.
Yes, they'll fit.
You're talking about the leather RK bags right?
The bags off a Heratage Softail wouldn't work without some kind of modification.
You can find more than a few pairs of the leather RK bags on eBay although they're normally not in perfect condition.
If you buy new through a dealer you could probably recoup some of the expense by selling the hard bags you have now on eBay, Craigslist or right here on the forum.
Good luck!
Just scrolled down a little farther in the New Posts and lookin what I found!
