Default 107"/Stage IV problems/issues

Have read a ton of posts on the 107/Stage IV and can see everyone likes their build whether it be FM, Hillside, Dragos, etc. but haven't seen many if any posts on problems or issues that have occurred.

Not looking to bash anybody so please keep posts on point; but I am looking to find out any issues or problems people have had with their buildout and what they would change or do different if they had to do it all over again.

I plan doing a 107 or stage IV within the next 2 months.

Base gaskets are leaking after 15,000 miles. Called seller, no help from them.
Not getting the HP or TQ as advertised.
If I had to do all over again, I might just stick with a stage one. IMO

I have a bud that showed me his 107 and his base gaskets were leaking as well, called vender and they said they had never seen it and I think they just tolk him to clean and rince and make sure it wasn't over flow or left over from the install seeping down.

Clutch! Heard all the replace with screaming eagle spring and will be fine. Or stock clutch is plenty! Not in my case burned the plates rt up with screaming spring.
Changed out with Barnett plates, stock diaprahm spring, Aim VP clutch, now it will not slip.

There ARE no base gaskets used for a 107, they use O-Rings like stock builds do. If folks use too much lube during assembly... that crap WILL leak out because the cylinder studs are OUTSIDE of the o-ring. It usually DOES stop after awhile.

IMHO... 107 is simply too big and takes away too much material from the liners, but I am alone in this thought, I guess.

Certain sellers of kits use the BEST numbers they have EVER obtained from any given set-up. These numbers are not repeatable by most normal folks. Chasing numbers is kind of BS anyways, unless the power is WAY *** down from advertized. There ARE differences is dyno numbers. Especially when comparing if the two dynos in question are of a different manufacturer. Dynojet 250i is THE gold standard to use for comparisons.

All good so far, mpg will drop fast if you stay in it. Think you may have to beef up the clutch.

I also have been studying this kit but worry about reliability. Can we expect to put on 40k + miles issue free ? And is it worth jumping from a camed 103 to a 107 ?
