I am considering the Andrews 21 or 26 cams in my 05 TC88 RK. I intend to do the install myself. I have a friend that has the tools and expieriance to help me do the work. I need to get an idea of the parts cost for just the cams/ tensioner shoes/ bearings / and whatever else is needed. Also would like to know how much in parts to go to gear drive and how much to upgrade to hydralic tensioners and the post 06 roller chain drive.
I tried to figure out rough estimate using Andrews MSRP sheet but I am confused on what would be needed for what other than the cams themselves (std., post 07 roller, gear driven). I didn't see any "kits" per say.
Tax return is coming and depending on costs of parts will determind what I am going to do. And crank run-out of coarse. Leaning towards stock style cam (tw-26) with upgraded hyd tensioners or just replace the shoes and get the exhaust system I want.
I just upgraded mine and went with the cam plate upgrade and SE204 cams. Got everything from Lakeshore.

Total in parts $1100.00 Plus my Indy charged around $500 to install but also took care of a few other items.
Bought the S&S gear drive / Andrews 26 cam kit complete via EBay 2 years ago for $567. The vendor was North Shore Cycles and you can also deal with them directly.
An '05 doesn't have the Timken Lefty bearing in the crankcase, so be sure to measure crank run out before ordering gear drives.
