I have the Harley one, waste of $20. I'm to the point of just draining it on the floor and then wipe it up. I do it every time anyway. The punch is not a bad idea though.
K&N oil filter, nut on the bottom.
Two liter plastic drink bottle, hole in bottom just barely big enough to slip over filter.
Maintain a "Lip" on bottom, do not just cut straight across, works better.
11/16" socket on long extension, unscrew cap, ext. thru top, socket in jug.
Rachet on extension, push jug over filter against base, remove filter.
Let drain a minute or so, remove. Walmart bag under all catches drips.
Jugs bigger than two liter too big, more hassle.
Chest bump a tree or something. Show wife what a genuis you are.
This little device looks like it would solve the oil draining on the floor issues.

Oil Filter Drain Trays
For 99-09 Twin Cam FLHT, FLHR, FLTR and 99-05 FXD
Tired of hot oil running down your
oil filter and all over your bike and floor?
Once the filter has been loosened, these unique
drain trays fit underneath the oil filter and against the filter mount to
direct the oil into your catch pan not all over your bike or the floor
Yeah...a 5 quart tupperware container from walmart works just as well at keeping oil off the floor of my garage. I need to invent me some trusty tool and brand it as something that will make your oil changes a lot easier. Maybe I can be like the rest of the 1%ers and take advantage of the....
I slip a sheet of plastic,or aluminum foil under the filter, cheaper and works better. You really don't want to soak those rubber mounts with oil-that"ll make them rot.
I have the one HD sells and it's not all it's cracked up to be. I'll just point out the root cause and ask what the fark HD was thinking when they designed the engine with the filter in such as stupid place to begin with? Every other bike I've had/have(all Hondas), the filter is under the engine and removing the filter was done without getting oil all over the place.
I use a gallon sized freezer bag. Loosen the filter slid the bag over it and turn. Leave the filter in the bag and dispose. Easy and no mess to clean up.
