Thanks everyone for the replies, I want to replace the Beach Bars on my 06 RKC. I had Heritage Style Bars but the they were uncomfortable and I had to rotate them back almost hitting the gas tank to fit my short arms. I'm only 5'4" with the bike lowered in the rear and the seat lowered also. I sat on a couple late model Heritage Softail's and was comfortable with the bars. Just wondering about fitment with my short arms. These will be bars number 5.
Ed
My 2011 Heritage bars are the most comfortable bars I have ever had. Good height, angle and leverage. Previous Harleys were RK with beach bars and the E/glide touring bars.
Will the 09 and up fit on a 2005 road king custom?
I'm not positive but I think the only difference in the 09 is the notch on the end of the bar for the throttle by wire twist grip sensor. Should work fine on anything earlier.
I have them on my 08 ( throttle by wire ) and love them. I like my hands low. I have them adjusted all the way down as low as they go and still clear the tank. Very comfortable for me and allows me to sit up straight with a bend in my elbow even with my short reach.
