I've read about the Heritage and other bars for the older bikes Has anybody found a good bar that adds a couple inches of height and rear extension for the new RGs? As always, thanks!

I have run both 513's and 517's on my RG - Both are great (I am 5'6") for the past year I have had the 517's and they are great. Wild1's http://www.wild1inc.com/

 

Not sure but with the FBW setup, I haven't read about anything at all being available yet. You may want to check into it with your dealer and while you're at it, sit on a WG & Heritage and get a feel for the bars. That's just what I did last week and I am going to go with the Heritage bars.

I am not sure they have any bars to fit the 08's yet. The fly by wire takes special bars I think. T.

 

517's on my RG

 

You can modify any bar you want to fit 08's. I did just that.

 

What needs to be done to make them fit?

 

You just have to cut the notches in the end for the throttle sensor and an oval cutout between the knurls for the wiring
