I have a 12 street glide. On these the tail lights are the turn signals. Its just not bright enough. A regular 1157 bulb is 1.5" tall.
My question is... Will an LED Bulb that is 1.7" tall fit or will it not allow the lens to seal on the housing? The bulbs are $25 so i dont want to buy em and have em not work. HELP..... I KNOW SOMEONES DONE THIS ALREADY!!!

Custom Dynamics. Been done many times with posts and pictures. I did one as did forum member Garemlin and many others. Do a search, you won't be disappointed.
I put LEDs in the front and rear of my 2011 Street Glide. The rear is the run/turn/brake function, and the front is run/turn. Everything seems to work fine except now the little red key lights up on my dash. It was suggested that it may need a load equalizer.
No... Those bulbs will not work!!! I tried some after market bulbs and they didn't fit!!!! You will have to use a company like custom dynamics or badlands for LEDs bulbs!!!
Save your money. LED bulbs in general are junk. Get yourself quality LED clusters from Custom Dynamics. Way brighter and no worries about fit. Lifetime warranty to boot.
And for the record your Street Glide has dual filament 1157 bulbs in the rear. Not 1156.

I put in a pair of Radiantz LED's on my 12 Street Glide. It did not require an equalizer. They said if I also put in front turn signal's it would be required.
