I installed the Rush slip-ons with 2.25" baffles and PCIII on my '07 RKC. I was going to install the 2.50" baffles, but was told they are having problems mapping the PCIII (too much popping on zero throttle decel). The Rush pipes have a good low rumble at idle, but are relatively quiet at cruise. I'll probably replace them with V&H as I would like something louder when cruising.
Rolling Thunder Pipes with 1.75" (I think). 15,000 miles. Sound great. They get a little louder over time. Chrome is excellent after 2 years. Priced right at $199 including shipping.
Both are similar and come with different size baffels; would like to hear from riders who have run either or both and which one they like the best. I'm looking for a set of pipes with a little rumble above stock that won't make my ears ring after riding out on the open road or a long run.
Thanks,
Bill

I have about 3k miles on my new SG with Rush w/1.75" baffles. I'm happy with the sound, nice rumble at idle and cruise, throaty when you accelerate--but doesn't drown out the stereo. I don't know how they could be beat for the price. Got mine from Fuel Moto, along with a PCIII and K&N.
I had Samson Rolled Thunder on my old RK and although they sounded great, were too loud for my taste on long hauls. After six or more hours in the saddle my ears would be ringing, and I wanted to get away from that with this new bike. Maybe I'm getting old, but I'm liking quiet over loud, low-end torque over high-end horsepower.
I've been looking at my after/market catalogue at several slip-ons, and am thinking about Samson rolled thunders. I have a set of Supertrapps on now, don't know which set, can't find any ser.no's.They are nice at idle, not very loud, and very quiet at cruising, at least to me.
I have a S&S Super G carb with a .70 primary jet, and I'm wondering if I will need to change jetting just because I'm changing to different make of S/O's ?
Oh, this is on an '87 FLHTC, 80 in EVO
Also, anybody running Supertrapps, how many disc are you running?
There seem to be a lot of ridersrunning Rush mufflers and they seem to be happy with them and the baffle size they selected. Also heard from a fewrunning Rolling Thunder pipes and they seem to be happy with their purchase as well. This forum is definitely a good place to come to for information.
I just ordered a set of Rush with 2.25" baffles. Can't wait to get them and get rid of the cold weather. Local Chopper shop gave me a good price also! Bryan
