Sorry about all the problems you are having. When I bought my new 06 Ultra, I was very unhappy with how it ran. My previous bike was a Honday VTX1800. That bike ran like a scalled ape. I took the bike back to the dealer and told him to check it out. He did and couldn't find anything wrong. At the 1000 mile check up I had him add the SE intake and a set of Rinehart SO's. Bike ran better but still not right. Ran extremely HOT and cruising down the interstate at 70 mph you could roll on the throttle and nothing happened. Had it checked several times.......nothing. Finally took it to another dealer and he told me I needed a fuel manager. OK...install a SERT and dyno it. But when the tech did a post install run on the dyno, he got 40 HP and 42 FPT. He had seen this before and found the engine was SUMPING.... bad o-ring on the oil pump. Replaced the o-ring installed theSERT and now I'm happy. Bike runs great. Just my 2 cents....

But I don't see any link that takes you to any recalls or service bulletins. MAybe I'm blind.
I don't know how it works anywhere else but, here in NC. I am a service advisor at a chevy dealer. It would qualify for lemon law if it were in three times for the same repair with in a year ie..my #2 piston shattered or the case cracked three times in the same place. I am not sure about concern not found. I know in my business we have a tech line/assist to help diagnose problems we can't.We also have called engineers in from the factory to help figure out problems. I'd go to the most competent dealer, then someone in the MOCO if I had too. If still not repaired or a problem found call your states AG's office and file a complaint, they can and usually will get the ball rolling for you.

Its your problem, pull those mufflers off the bike and take a spin with straight pipes to see how the bike runs. What have you got to loose at this point?
And in this day and age of EMAIL TECHNOLOGY you still can't send an email to HDMOCO,
Dude, you stand here and take NO ownership of ANY problem - nor will you let them do what they TELL you is needed to fix the problem - but ya stand here and complain about how "they" won't do anything. If they told me I had a muffler issue, I'd say "Fine - let's put 'em on. If they don't fix the problem, I'll expect you to take 'em back because YOU messed up on the analysis."
At this point, I see someone that messed up BIG time, but won't accept it. Let me ask ya one other question....what rider education courses have you taken? I ask that because issues as you're discussing are some of the things you're taught in those courses - planning for "what if" scenarios...
Ok, what you're saying then is that one page does two things, gives the maintenance items that need to be checked, adjusted or changed based on the mileage you entered
AND lists any recalls?
Just making sure here.
thanks
choochoo, if nothing comes up then you don't have a recall on your bike.

I'm not sure why we all think HD mechanics are all that to begin with! Just like any job, your going to have
morons where ever you go. HD seems to have their share and someone else's share as well!
I had dealings with the HDservice dept. and by no means are these rickies MIT graduates!
I sometimes feel HD could give ash*t less about service. Make a sh*t product and have job security forever.
Just like in police work...as long as there are criminals, there will be police....job security at it finest!
Get it? Good Luck......

But in this group of forums and others, I am seeing a common thread on numerous items
that todate HDMOCO is refusing to address.
air temp gauges, oil sumping, gutless on highway, etc.
And if we as individuals don't keep pressure on HD and dealer network to get these fixed,
they will never do it willingly.
they will think everything is just fine and dandy and hunky dory out here in the real world if we don't file our complaints and be as vociferous about it as possible.
Ditto, Vegas. The MOCO publishes its recalls. I have even got an e mail about the locking mechanism issue. Whenever I work on my bike, or on the occasion that a tech does,I take it for a thorough test drive. In a safe environment. You don't trust someone else with your life, only yourself. It is like jumping out of an airplane. Would you rather trust someone else to pack your chute, or pack your own? I definitely wouldn't try to pass a vehicle, on a motorcycle that I new had power loss issues, and had just been in for service to fix those issues unless I had thoroughly tested it. Especially if the dealer that just "fixed" the bike was the one I had just let work on it again. Choochoo: do your lemon law thing, get your money back, and move on.
