2009BlackPearle, thanks for pix. My cams look just like your photos.
WestTexasRanger, yes, cams are at 11 and 5.
Yes, I did zero lash on base circle then 4 turns +2.
Plug wires are not mixed up.
Battery tender is working to get ready for tomorrow.
Compression test will be first on the list. Hopefully red loctite lets go if I have to re-do adjustments on push rods.
Not sure if this makes a difference, but I unplugged spark plugs a turned motor over to get oil pressure before starting. Would this make a difference?

Did you ground the plugs or just removed. I thought if just removed you can wreck the coil with no spark plug installed.
Are you getting spark now?

If necessary, you can use a heat gun to help release the loctite.

You may have damaged the electronic ignition when you turned the motor over with plugs out. It's recommended that you coat all of the surfaces of the cams, sprockets, lifters & push rods with assembly lube so that these surfaces are protected until the engine has good oil pressure.

Default ground coil ?

never heard that before , before i started mine in the 3 cam changes ive done ive never grounded the coil wires while cranking the bike over to build up oil pressure before starting the bike. got roughly 15-20 psi while cranking with plugs out lifters are much quieter if u can get them full of oil before it starts

Default I doubt it

Put spark plugs in coil wires. Hold to metal cylinder and turn it over. I usually hold plug down with rubber coated pliers so I don't get zapped. If u have spark on both. Then sounds like a timing problem was rear cyl at tdc when u installed cams as in pic I posted. Not sure if timing marks will line up the way if front cylinder is at tdc instead

I tried that before and got no spark. Something to do with the crank sensor.

Has he checked the crank sensor connection yet???

I had a no spark issue and it was related to water in the crank sensor connector. Not saying that's his issue but if he has fuel but no spark, the CS may have something to do with it.

Just cranked it over before pulling a plug to check spark and got a huge backfire. Seems to me that is a timing issue??
Really not looking forward to tearing it all down again.
