I made my tailights run/turn/brake and my hazzard lights work as well on the pack. It was worth it.

I'm interested to know as well. I am in the process of mounting my eBay wrap light, and was then going to figure out what I needed to get turns up to it

Cep10SG what did you add on to make your tour pak work?
Total estimate from CD was $225.

If you look at the CD Magic kit it is basically a new harness for inside of the trunk. If you have LED's there is no draw so you do not need a relay, however if you are still running incandescent bulbs you will have to have a relay system like Harley does. With the LED's you could probably make up a harness a little cheaper than the CD kit, but they have it already worked out.

Then the harness plugs in with some jumper wires between the rear lighting module and the rear lights.

Gents, I think i spent about $60 bucks and it was mostly on HD plugs so i could disconnect everything if/when i wanted to. I already had most of what i needed in my parts/tool boxes anyway. I finally figured out why i went to school for this. i have pics but they're in my phone for the moment. i'm currently recovering from my 3rd back surgery but don't mind helping out. i'm working on a word document at home with instructions and pictures in it.

Thats about what the CD kit costs without an equalizer or flasher module.

I'm not slamming CD, i have their LED lights on my bike and my wife's as well and like them. If i wanted to make it cheaper i could really spend less than $12 and still look good. I just wanted water proof connections and i wanted it to look like a factory job not a hack job with crap hanging everywhere.

That being said, if you want it from CD then get it from them. all i'm trying to do is help people save money if they are looking into spending it elsewhere and help them learn about their electrical system. I spent maybe $2-3 on resistors and diodes? i already had all the wiring i'd need. no relays, thats what resistors and diodes are for.

My cost was on plugs, but you can get cheaper ones on EBay I've done that too and still have them in a box somewhere. when i buy plugs i buy for a few bikes in case i do something with my wife's, brother (who works at an HD dealer) or even a friends bike, sure they give me $ for the parts or time and sometimes pizza and icetea while talking crap and laughing about dumb stuff.

I would think that you could do it cheaper, but when you posted the price you have into the connectors I figured that it was about the same. I guess it depends on how you want it to look when your done.

Did you go with the LED's in the TP or did you stay with incas?

I hear you. No, It's all LED's. I can be a cheap bastard and just run it straight and spend 3 bucks on small stuff but then i can't remove the pack.

I guess it really boils down to how you want it to look. if you want to use solderless connectors thats cool, just get the water proof ones, i took pics on my phone. basically tapped into the back of the lower tri bar light, isolated the run/brake/ground and ran it back to the pack, and used resistors and diodes to make the run/brake function. it's that simple.

I am breaking the steps down to make it easy to follow. if you're interested, send me an email and i'll send it out as soon as i'm done with it. like i mentioned, i just had back surgery and i'm doing it between medicated naps.
