Default Tire question.
Maybe someone can give me some advise. Last week I ran over something while turning right at a corner. The bike slid over to the left, which I believe put a cut across the tire. It doesn't seem too deep. Does it need to be replaced now?

You only have two tires. I wouldn't chance losing one of them, IMHO.

What does it look like? Is it worth your well being or your life to leave it "as is"? Thats the question I ask my self with these decisions.

Me, If that was not cut below the tread depth I would ride it. If there was a chance of it cutting to the cords of the tire, replace it now.

First look I would ride it. See if you can see how deep it is. Looks like a scratch.

Your first post I would have said replace it. After posting the pic it is barely cut into the surface of the tire. I would ride on but keep an eye on it.

Doesn't look bad but the rest of the tire looks like it's almost down to the wear bars...

By the look of it, its "well ridden" - peace of mind - by a new Elite 3 (judging by the tread pattern thats the tire?) Looks like the tire did its job by keeping you upright during the incident.
Spend the $200 and be done with it mate.
Ride safe
