Hey fellas,
I want to put a detachable tour trunk on my e-classic. I have the four point mounting system, but don't know what else to get to make this happen?? I don't want to ask the dealer and end up buying extra crap I don't need .... It should only be a docking plate for the trunk and a license plate bracket correct?
Thanks for any help you can give....
..ok..if you have the 4 docking points for the Tour Pak, not for a sissy bar...then you are right, you should only need a "lay down" style license plate bracket, and a quick release style mount-plate that replaces the mount on the bottom of the Tour Pack. Don't forget though that you will have to do something with the wiring that runs the antenna and lights on your box. I just disconnected mine and hid them under the seat, then did a hidden antenna inside the fairing. No lights on the box now(doesn't bother me). Good luck!
