After wanting one for the last 2 bikes, I finally decided this was the year. Was looking to get a Street Glide, but decided to do the Classic because I knew I'd want a tour pack anyway....and those colors of the EG said, buy me and make me your SG, lol. Its fully factory optioned and ready for my mods.
I had dealer do the hidden antenna and street glide mirrors...I took home tour pack detach kit, 7.5 inch windshield, bullet rear signal bar, bullet front signals, and Kuryakn laydown curved license plate holder. And I got a smokin deal on a 2012 SG seat on ebay.
Gonna remove the frnt n rear bumpers and side bag gaurds.
Now if the weather would only cooperate, I could take her for the maiden ride...oh well I'm learning patience I suppose.
Brandts I69 HD was the best dealer experience I've ever had, they were soo nice and not pushy, but they answered any and all questions for me...and I was there the first time for like 2hrs+ just looking and asking questions, never once acted like they had someone else better to help out than silly me coming from a metric......so I bought from them cause they made me feel like I belonged there, and now I do, lol.
Anyway, another happy Harley customer, as you all are I'm sure.. ltr all
Oh...and anther reason I decided this was the year, was my son was born on 3/13/98... and Harleys 110th....so its kinda good karma I'm able to do it in March of 2013, and in the owners manual, one of the pages has 31313, I about flipped.....he would've been 15 this year and I'm sure riding with me every chance he/we could've.
Was in there a few weeks back. They had one like yours with painted inner fairing , Chrome wheels quick detach on tour pack all done up for $29,000.00.Sharp looking
bike. Anyhoo congrats on your purchase and your journey.
Congrats on the new scoot.
I grabbed a new Classic last year for the bang for the buck factor.
Do you have any pix of the bullet front blinkers? I have been looking at these in the bible, and they appear to have rings around the faces versus the protruding lenses, which would deter me from them.
Post pix when goodies are all on, or just pix of the goodies if you would, and ride the hell out of that thing-enjoy......
