thanks for the comments guys. i'll try and find that thread, sounds like a good read.
rode the bike to work today and a few extra miles. put 55 or 60 miles on it of easy riding. got on her a little bit getting on the highway and this thing pulls strong. it surprised me how much midrange torque it has.
anyways, got off early and am heading to the garage to buff the bags and side covers. also need to found a vibration/rattle i hear that seems to happen around 2-3k rpm when speeding up or engine braking. probably just a loose heat shield or something. also gotta get the front fairing cleaned up and mounted but i want to ride a few more days without it to make my final decision.
louisiana has a helmet law so picked up another open faced one. but i'll be damned, but my head feels like it's being pulled back and the helmet is about to be sucked off my head above 60mph. was a little rediculous. i slowed down and ripped the front little visor thing off and that helped a little.
finished buffing the bags last night and took some better pics and a quick video. the sound still doesn't do it justice on how deep it is. i need to invest in a gopro one of these days.
tossed the fairing back on but ran out of light and didn't feel like pulling the tripod out. so i'll take some better ones today of that.
also gotta find a usb cable laying around the house that fits the power commander and upload the new tune from fuel moto. i think that's about it. other than some new bars when i decide i think this bike is ready to rock for a while.
awesome, thanks guys. much appreciated. was an awesome day so got the wife and headed to the neighboring town and got some lunch. was a blast to be out riding again. missed to too much
