I have the Kuryakyn Flip-Blades that mount under your stock floorboards and I love them.

You don't mention if you have put any miles on it yet, but I came from a 2001 GL1800 to an Ultra, and I find that the foot position is MUCH better on the Ultra. I think you will enjoy the switch.

I've taken two 60 mile rides this weekend and I feel like a 16 year old virgin on prom night. I have an 1800 GoldWing and the riding position is perfect for me.
The Ultra is a great ride other than my foot position. I also understand it is a different bike and will take some getting used to. I believe extending the footboards and getting some highway pegs will be a big improvement.
I talked with the guy that owned it before me and he said he took the pegs off for his new ride. He is built about like me so I'll find out what he had and consider giving them a try.

I like to have my heels on the front of my boards and toes resting on the pegs. Liked it that way on my soft tail too.

Crazylegs I see that could work for me if the pegs were on some sort of extension to get them out past the lowers. What kind of pegs/mounts do you use?

I am going with longer pegs and shifter arms, brake lever .
with the floorboard spacers 1in out 2 forward, should be able to put my rear shifter back on then.
im a big foot so with shifter being 2 1/2 longer ill get 5 inch more space.
