Did my first oil change on my new build after oil bud install and when I pulled the filter off it was dry, took off the lower flare nut on cooler first to drain was still expecting a spill when pulling my flo filter but not a drop
A regular oil change vertical on a jack drains down nice. Stuff a piece of oil pad under filter for a little drippage and good to go.
Way better than pulling a filter on the kick stand full of oil.
I have a standard HD cooler on mine but I do not drain from there.
That oil bud cooler looks good if seeing a standard cooler bothers you.
I guess that if I shot my bike regularly that would be the thing to have. It looks like it must mount under the frame tubes. If that is correct, that would make my lift even more difficult to use and since I wiped off a jiffy stand spring on a speed bump, I am more concerned with damaging anything under the frame. If it mounts to the down tubes, that should eliminate the under frame concerns but then it would "pre-heat" the air flowing over the voltage regulator.
Perhaps if the video showed the installation, I would have no concerns.

The oil bud mounts between the frame
Does not mount under the frame
