On a cold start it fires right up. When its warm I can hit the start, just turns over like its not firing(not all the time). Then let off for a second, hit start again and fires right up.
Its a 2011 SG 11,000 miles. Just started doing this the last 6 mounths.
Any suggestions? Thanks in Advance. You guys allways have the answers...
There is a rodent living behind your start button, as he moves up higher on your bike to get away from engine heat after each cold start.
Just yell at him and thump the bars on each hot start to get him to move out of the way. The button is kinda prickly on the back side; the two of you can exchange favors and keep peace and harmony on your scoot, and all's good.
My 2007 EG 103 never starts on first try. Always have to hit second time. My 2008 RK 103 hits first time every time. Difference? 2008 has compression releases. 2007 does not.
SE 103, SE tuner, AC, and slip ons/no cat. I always let the fuel pump cycle before I start. Does not do it all the time, even when it is hot. And it does not have CR, already had to replace starter.

Try not letting your fuel pump cycle. Hit your starter button as soon as you can after you turn your ignition on. It may even help to flip kill switch to off and only flip it on when you're ready to start the bike. I don't remember the reason for this, but I'm sure I've read this as a cure for the problem you're having on the forum at some time.

I remember reading that a while back also. Seems strange but worth a try.
I was having the same issue. My compression releases were turned off during SERT install. With the stop switch off, check when you turn the ignition switch on if you can hear the compression releases click at the engine. When I had the SERT installed it turned off my compression release and had to have it turned back on.
