OK, so i'm back and happy report that after all the labor and....tuning the bike with the super tuner again with the change in cans. It appears all the effort has worked and shaved off 5-6db and brought that thumping and sound pressure resonance under control. Now its a nice very unmistakable deep rumble, but yet it wont **** off the neighbors and our ears aren't bleeding after a long ride. 
Final leg of this journey is getting the end caps ceramic coated black, since I managed to get one of the sets of the bad chrome on the end caps. (flaking off)
I do have video of stock exhaust and the new and improved M/O, only problem is I don't know how to post them on here.

You know I thought about those as well, but after the fact I'm glad I didn't. that sound level has all to do with the huge internal volume of these things in what I have found so far.
Granted im no exhaust expert, but I tried all the other fixes as well ...packing between the heat shield, change the windshield, retuning.
