Have a 08 strretglide that has been outstanding and a blast for the past 4 years.Put 22,000 miles without a hiccup.Have had the crazy thought of trading it in and being the pround new owner of a 2013 cvo anniversary edition roadglide.Never had any seat time on a roadglide.Talked to some roadglide owners, they all say if you ride one you will never look back.Would appreciate any and all advise from you roadglide guys.Thanks.
I have an 03 EG I know it's not the quality of the newer SG but I would think the 2 bikes aren't all that different. I too was looking at the new RGs and wow they are so nice. I would like to ride one to see how lite the bars feel. I've been told the same thing in that once you ride one your hooked. Man I sure like the looks of them but I just don't that kind of debt right now, especially since mines paid for
I have test ridden both the Road Glide Custom and the RG Ultra. They are way different than a Street Glide, Road King or Electra Glide. I don't like either one (so much for the theory that once you try one you're hooked). You may want to rent one for a day to see if you really want one. Road Glides ain't for everyone.
a few months ago i mentioned to a good friend of mine that i might be ready to sell my streetglide. he asked, "how much ya want for it"? i told him, and he bought it from me. it is an 08 streetglide which i got the motor built to 103, cams, sepst, v&h pro pipe, loads of options, chrome, etc. about three weeks later i'm regretting selling my streetglide, and reading everything i could find on roadglides. i went to a dealer and rode their demo roadglide ultra. after 15 minutes, i came back to the dealership and bought a new 2013 roadglide ultra. it handles wonderfully, has plenty of power, looks mighty sharp, and feels great to ride. nothing against streetglides, they're really great bikes, but if you have the chance to ride a roadglide you'll understand why they say "once you ride one, you're hooked". we finished the build of the motor and it dyno's at 104 hp and 114 ft lbs of torque. ya gotta love those c&c factory ported heads, 204 cams with high ratio rockers, and the pro pipe.
