Ok so I traded in my hopped up Deuce for a 2006 Ultra Classic Elec Glide last week. I wanted more room and a stereo for the longer trips. My other half isn't excited about the upgrade , I am hoping she sings a different tune after she rides on it a few times. Is there any upgrades anyone recommends? I already picked up an air pump for the shocks. I am thinking exhaust...and who knows from there.

We just bought a 2013 Heritage and are waiting for the Vance and Hines side shot slip on's to arrive. Off the showroom floor last Thursday here in Denver we sounded like a Honda going down the road.
The 2008 Sporty I traded in had the Rush slip on's and sounded great not too load. So if you dont want to spend big bucks and are just looking for sound, you cant beat the slip-on's.
Enjoy your new ride, hope your wife warms up to the new ride. Mine sure as hell as and now wants me to take her to the Grand Canyon in June on our vacation.
When I bought the ultra, the wife just loved it. Way more comfort and more wiggle room. Tunes and extra storage just sweetens the deal. She'll come around......steve
We went from a Softail Standard to a Ultra Classic a few years ago. My wife loves the comfort and room to pack for long trips. Ocasionally she will even take a nap while on the road. I am sure your lady will come around.
Well I still have my 93 Fatboy but I too have switched over to the Ultra. It didn't take me long to get use to the cruse control. Little heavier than I am use to but I will use to that too over time.
