I seem to average 6-7 years, using a tender or not. Just replaced the barrtery this week, using a batterymart replacement. WOW....what a great place to deal with. $40 less than dealer, more cca, free shipping, no tax, and arived in 2 days. Doesn't get much better than that.....Steve
If it is starting up fine and you are having no problems with it, leave it be. Like the old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's the way I am with batteries.
I am on the original battery in my 2008 FLHTC. Keep it on a battery tender part of the time. If you do replace it, make certain you give it a full charge before you install it.
