P55P E Code ?

P55P E Code ?
I have a 07 street glide I noticed riding that the engine light on the speedometer can on for a second and then went back off, then would repeat after a few miles. may go 4 miles before the repeat All guages looked good bike ran fine.
Did the code test. and found P55PE but the top part of the E was missing. I did unplug the spark plug wires and changed out my comp sprocket early that day.
What should I do now Brothers Of the Web.

Do not see it in my 04 or 08 electrical diagnostic manuals. Do a google search. Pull both wires and look up inside to make sure ring is not bent and then make sure they go completely down on plugs. Check to be sure both wire are tight on battery and resting 5 hours after bike had been shut down it reads 12.6 or so volts both on battery lead and the battery wires.

4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.

Yep! What you are seeing is the menu for the diagnostics. "PSSPt"; P= ECM codes; S = TSM/TSSM/HFSM codes; SP = Speedometer codes; t = Tachometer codes.
Why you're seeing that while the bike is running I don't know but it could be an intermitent short in the trip odometer reset switch. Holding that switch in while turning on the ignition is how you enter the diagnostic mode. Maybe there is a short in the switch so the bike thinks you're holding it in while turning on the ignition.
