Default Stripped threads, hole size?

Stripped a hole on the inner primary that holds the outer primary on, one of the lower ones near the plug. Anyone know the size of that so I can tap it one bigger?

Thanks

Use a thread guage on an existing bolt. Or use a die on an existing bolt until you find the correct size,

A better choice would be a heli-coil repair kit. Then you use the same bolt as original and have a stronger thread than you did when new.

And I believe all the outer primary bolts are 1/4 20

You can always go online at Ronnie's to find out what the bolt size is.
Another hint if it used the same tool as all the other screws then it is the same size bolt as them.

Don't know about Helicoils here is what you would need.

Helicoil would be the way to go. NAPA sells them with the appropriate bit and installer tool. Make sure you tap straight.

Helicoils suck, and will pull out. If you have the ability and the thickness do a time-sert repair http://www.timesert.com/ It wil last forever

Yes 1/4-20. How the heck did you strip it? I work on them daily and never stripped one. They are only suppose to be around 108 inch pounds.
