Default RK battery

How long can one expect out of a battery? No problems, just wondering if it wouldn't be a bad idea (preventive maintainance wise) to just go on and change mine out-it's 3 years old.

I've owned my bike for going on 7 years now. The bike is an 02. Not sure if the battery was ever changed before I bought it. This fall it started showing some issues. I just pulled it off a larger charger and put it on a trickle charger. I am planning on replacing it as soon as I get the tires and suspension done for the up coming season. You say yours is three years old, I'd say you have f ew good years left.

Mine barely lasted two years.....after visiting the dealership I bought it from and listening to them start and stop bikes for would be customers I can see why the damn battery in mine craped out as early as it did...you've got to start a new battery with the right charge cycles or it's not going to last. No wonder it would always take a while for the charger to green up after I plugged it in......bastages. The new battery that took it's place green's up right away....

Only 3 years on my 2010 road king... The good thing is it gave me plenty of warning, sluggish starts in the morning.

Believe it or not, 9 years out of my stock battery but I always kept it on a tender every night. Now running an Odyssey.

Coming up for 6 years on the Ultra. Not once have I had a problem. Always on tender when not used for longer than a week or so.
