Ask yourself these questions, Is this something that I need? Is this something that I want? Never let your wants surpass your needs! Make a small budget and stick to it. Take care of family first and foremost! You've got plenty of time for your toys. You'll learn to curb your desires for new stuff for the bike, just takes a little time, after all this is an addiction!!....LOL
If I want it I buy it. Sometimes I have to save for it. Or I try to make it take longer so it fills my spare time. I always find something todo even if you can't see what I did.

Hey man, don't let guilt ruin your ownership experience. At the same time, don't let the bike overtake your priorities. You will have years to ride, but a very limited amount of time with your kids. You can have both, but don't become obsessed with the bike...it's easy to do. (been there done that and it never turns out well). Sometimes it will just have to sit for weeks at a time. But there is nothing wrong with that. Come to terms with satisfaction and balance. You will sleep better and be a better father. Now go for a ride!
