Hydrogen Peroxide eats bugs up since they're mostly protein.

I couldn't help noticing the title of this post. "Bug removal". Hell, up here we're still dealing with snow removal. LOL I only wish I could be dealing with a bug removal problem.

This picture reminds me of the ride to Sturgis in 1997 ... after crossing the Missouri River heading west on I-80 we ran into the grasshoppers/cicadas .... what a friggin' mess ... and it was like being pelted with hail. The scooters ( and us ) were covered with dead, dying and mushed grasshoppers.

BugSlide is the product I use. I love the stuff. Never left a scratch on my bike and take the bugs off 100% of the time. The only problem with BugSlide is I didn't come up with this great product. I'm sure they are doing quite well as I am now starting to see it everywhere.

Ride safe.

I use the HOT towel & lay it over the windshield. I take the HD Windshield cleaner wipes
#93600067 & HD Bug Remover wipes #97400-10 on road trips.

+99 on the Bugslide. And for the riders with white or light colored bikes, a piece of advice for you. Don't put your bike up with bug splatter all over it. Bug splat will leave stains.

there is no need to dilute peroxide, I don't ,and haven't for more than 8 years,it won't hurt a thing. spray it on let it set for about a minute, hose or wipe it off.

10 minutes of cleaning every time I return home from a ride. Dampen bugs with solution of Eagle One car wash/water. Set for 5 minutes, rinse with clean water. Follow with a spray of Honda Gloss, polished clean with microfiber. My HD always looks good.

vinegar water takes them right off. I always have a spray bottle of it handy. Safe on Chrome and paint too. I spot clean my entire bike with it in between washings.

I just keep an old Glass Plus bottle filled with water. Spray it on in a mist, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, wipe with a cloth.

Then use some Kleenmaster Brillianize to shine things up...
