Well to those that took my post serious ..Thank you.
however those that seem to reflect their IQ ,Please keep your ideas in your house.
Like I said in the original post.. I'm new, no excuses, I meant to say a 6 speed Baker tranny .Just got ahead of myself. seems that a lot of folks don't like Baker or the SE 6 Speed. I got so many ideas that , once again , I'm confused . Trying to save on the $$ , but it looks like I may have to dump a couple of K in the bike. right now I have 104 HP and 102 T...change the sprocket , new springs ( triple ? ) go to a 110...? just looking for some different input.

Thanx.
You don't need a tranny. Your stock 6 speed will do. if you are already making 104hp that's not that bad on a bagger. To get anouther 16+hp out of it it really takes quite a bit. It's all in the heads, Cams and Intake.
Intake HPI 55mm
Heads ported & polished from one of our vendors Fuel Moto Jammie will get you in the right direction of 120+HP
Cams-go with what ever your head porter recommends.
Big bore 107" and 10.5 compression
You will then have to think about doing crank work in the next year, balancing, Trued and welded our you will have a pile of scrap parts and start all over.

Thanx for your reply Jim..Appreciated. That's what I'm trying to avoid, ( the crank work ) I ride hard , but not continuous ,just want the speed when I need it . and when I'm cruzin. I was wrong 'bout thr HP I have 102 TRK and 113 HP. maybe a change of sprockets ? Stocks are 32 F and 70 R.

One of the worst things you can do to scissor a crank is be down shifting, slowing down and using the motor and scwak the rear tire. The vacume from the motor and the force from the rear tire will do it faster than any motor mod.
Hard launches will obviously take it's toll also.
You can make 120+HP and get away with not doing crank work for years, It all depends on your riding style. I doubt with 120+hp that you wouldn't occasionally launch it hard, do some racing, = crank work.

Maybe ya need a different bike? If ya are making 113hp now another 10-20% is gonna cost big $. Any more isn't really gonna be streetable or reliable. Not sure 10-20% more will scratch the itch????
If my bike was making that kind of hp and torque, I would quit while I was ahead.
You didn't come from something like a Hayabusa to a Harley did you? That would explain a lot.
Well Jim , You hit that one on the head, ya , probably will from time to time get on it from the light, so I understand . I still have a lot of Homework to do on it, figure I could drop a 2K in it and be happy. Thanx again for the 411
Texaswiz, naw straight Harleys all my life, was out of touch with'em for a number of yrs. just getting back in to what I love....starting over is a B*%%#, !!!
I'm not very good at the philosophy "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all" sometimes. Maybe you should get the Hayabusa. Harley baggers are all cool on their own without needing to get down the road at 160 MPH in 6 seconds. Not trying to bust your chops and sure, we want to get out of the hole quick like but don't fret the small stuff. Just enjoy the ride.
