Oops! Fork axle holder stud snapped
Yeah...this sucked. Ended up heating it up with a heat gun and then took a vice grip to it. Came off! The second half came when the local HD dealer said they had two, but really they had NONE. So then I remembered I had my takeoff sliders so I took one out of them. Worked great!
Reminder... Always know the appropriate torque spec. HA!
Well ya got it fixed and it didn't cost you anything. Be glad it wasn't a exhaust stud and broke off flush in the head.
It appears in the photo there is a o-ring that needs to be replaced, fitting loosely. could just be the photo.

My Street Glide doesn't have studs, it has bolts. Interesting. But at any rate, I know the torque for those bolts is spec'd in inch-pounds. Easy to over-tighten. Glad it was an easy and cheap fix.
Can I get a pic of it installed in your bike? Post it up on the forums. I became a sponsor/vendor now.
Is this Jon or Juston, or maybe Tony?
I haven't done that many RK's I think people are scared that I can't reseal them good or my work will show.

I was suprised at how easy the studs came out when I did mine. Just used a pair of Chanel locks!
