I have a 2010 ultra that I purchased new in 2010 (16,500 miles). Never had any issues before today. The bike was completely stock until recently. I put my bike in the shop to have the inner fairing painted, tweeter pod installed and a set of vance and hines monster rounds slip ons put on. No other mods. I got my bike back and rode it for the first time today. I rode about 125 miles. I parked my bike in the garage I went out in the garage about an hour later and noticed a small puddle under the bike. Is it a coincidence I never had as much as a hiccup with this bike before the recent work was done. Could the slip ons have caused this problem? What do you guys think?

Here is my theory for what it is worth....which really isn't much.
Not knowing where the leak is coming from or where under the bike the puddle is........
I say when they put your slip-ons on, the exhaust bracket bolts were loose on the tranny cover and removing the old slip-ons caused the tranny cover to start leaking.

Do you have a oil cooler? Where's it leaking from? Need more info!
No oil cooler. The leak appears to be coming from the left side of the transmission area! I am unable to see an active leak. Thank you for your quick response.
what does the oil look like...if it looks new its from the trans, if its kind of dirty its from the transfer box, if its almost black (unless you just changed it) its from the motor....I would venture to guess the bottom bolts on the right side transmission cover or the rear transmission oil pan bolts are loose...fairly common issue..

How hard would it be for a novice to fix this and what tools would be needed??? To tighten the oil pan bolts/brackets...
Most of your leaks are going to appear that it is on the left side because that's how the bike leans when on the kickstand. Try tracing the leak backwards from the lowest point to the highest.
