I know. This topic has been beat to death and I've spent days reviewing what's already been written. But my question is very specific so I'll ask. On my 2013 aniv edition RK I'm considering the HD premium 13 inch shocks vs progressive 444's. I had the HD premium 12's on my streetglide and they were very nice and much improved over the stock shocks, but the streetglide is a lower shock than the RK and my streetglide with stock shocks was much worse than my 2008 and 2013 RKs with stock shocks. So with that said, and not considering Ohlins, anybody have experience comparing the 444s to 13 inch HD premiums?
Just in the process of installing the Progressive montube front fork cartridges and rear shocks will be my next project later this year so I'm interested in what kind of discussions happen here.
I would bet money that, even though you specifically asked about 444 vs HD shocks, you will be told to buy Ohlins or go to Motorcycle Metal and buy JRI's.
I just put 444's and a monoshock kit on mine but the weather is still not co-operating so I havent tried them yet, sorry.
