My oil pressure keeps going from the middle of the gauge to the far left while riding. Is this normal? I know during start-up pressure goes down, but when I am going 70 the needle moves back and forth. Any ideas?
It's silliness like that that reminds some of us why we know we will keep the Harleys with the old faithful low pressure light as long as we can...at least till the light stays on. HA
You need to have It checked out right away. I would not ride the bike until then. Hopefully it is just a bad gauge or a bad oil pressure switch. Good luck!

Pressure should be at its highest on start up. Pressure should be steady at 70 mph. Do you hear any abnormal motor noise???
I agree you have a problem. Could be bad gauge or internal like said before.
I was told by a Harley lead Tech that low oil pressure sitting at a redlight is not nessasearaly a problem. When the oil is hot and low idle the gauge may not be very accurate.
But that is not what you are describing.
