Dont want to remove left fork
2005 ultra,, dont want to remove left fork to change oil (cartridge) ,, can this oil be changed while fork is on the bike?? if so how is the easiest way to do so?? manual says to remove, disassemble, to get all old oil out,,i guess no top fill on the cartridge type 
any bodt bottom filled one of these,,threw the drain hole?? can it be done with a syringe or something?

The longer you spend trying to find a way of not taking that leg off, the longer you delay doing the job! On some later bikes, certainly my 2011 Sporty, both legs have to come off to change oil. It'll be interesting to see if anyone has a short cut.

i was worried like you with my cartridge leg when i swap for chrome legs. I used the drain hole and let them one night. Maybe some old oil stay in but it's a touring HD not a GP bike...
I filled by upper hole and add 330 on right side and only 300 on left one.
