I have the 10" smoked Freedom shield, I'm 5'10 and do look over it with the current aftermarket seat. The seat sits higher than the old stock seat on my 2006. Great quality shield and gives me as much protection as the stock 12" did.

I have an after market C&C seat which puts me down and back a little. I'm getting the feeling that the 8" is going to be the one for me given the 10" mark I have is just where I can look thru or really sit up and look over. I don't want the darn thing to be that close to being in the way. Maybe the 9" should be the one.
