  • visit leakey off of 336.. bent rim grill there is awesome and beer is cold
  • lots of stuff in bandera like 11th street cowboy bar
  • check out luckenbach
  • check out Fredericksburg
  • check out willow city loop (great riding)
  • if you're really hungry, ride on up to llano and find coopers bbq where you pick what you want to eat off the grill and it's sold by the pound. *Caution.. Bring an appetite
  • check out Riley's on the backbone
  • enchanted rock state park
  • lost maples state natural area
That should pretty much eat up 3 days. :-)
Thanks so much for the recommendations.

Ultranutz is spot on with his reccomendations. Especially 16 to Bandera, the Three Sisters, the Cowboy Bar. Luickenbach is a must! Great Pulled Pork Sandwich there, almost always live music and always cold beer.

The only thing I could add is eating at the Oasis on Lake Travis. Great place to watch the sunset. There is also a Carlos and Charlies near there. If you are a Johnny Cash fan, check out a bar named the Mean Eyed Cat. At night there is always Austin's version of Bourbon/Beale street on 6th for partying.

Just got notified from the Airlines that we're going to have to re-route our trip to avoid Denver. Huge snow storm hitting there, and we might not be able to get out. So we're going to try Phoenix or Vegas. Late change, but as a biker you always hate hearing SNOW!

Are you going to be packin? Not every biker in Texas has a concealed handgun permit but every biker has got something or other either in his pants or saddlebags.
We take a very liberal view and interpretation of the 2nd Amendment here. If you were to try and kill one of us, we will kill you back. Other than that, this is a great time to come and visit before it gets so hot. Yes, the heat down here will kill you too.

UltraNutz nailed it on the recommendations. Definitely hit Bandera and then Leakey and tag the three sisters.

Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar Bar is another cool stop in Bandera.

Damn Texas threads.......^$&*#(^$%(......I have got to get my *** out of CA and into permanent residence in TX. Yes, riding here is amazing (especially in my backyard), and the weather is perfect, but this state pisses me off more every day. Then I see this from Perry a few days ago:

"There is still a place for freedom that is very much alive and well," the Republican governor added. "That place is called Texas."

Every day I stay here I actually feel like I am allowing myself to be taken advantage of by the Libtards who control this once great (a LONG time ago) state. Damn I need to get to Texas!!

3 sisters is THE ride in that part of Texas. Plenty of info on it on the Internet if you look. Fredericksburg and Luckenback are great too!
