Good information. I didn't know anything about the tire or frame.
Don't worry about this frame crap. Harley changed the frame to save costs on the trike. They can use the same frame between the 2 models now since the rear section is bolted together.
This is a dead issue. I made an offer on the bike tonight based on all the fantastic advise from my brothers on the touring section. The seller is very proud of his time capsule and would not budge on price.

In all fairness, 'he' can't replace this bike for what he's asking for it. But 'you' can probably find a better deal. I'm a little biased, but I would continue to seek an older bike if I were you. I can't imagine having to deal with the various issues that the newer bikes have. But that's just me....
I've got an '06 Ultra and love it. That's a $23k bike as you are well aware. It will have none of the over heat or trans problems that the newer ones have. You will have Harmon Kardon problems that they still have, as they still use the same POS radio. You could add an automatic primary tensioner on it. Then put the anti sway kit on if it bothers you. Mine has been bullet proof although I only have 19k miles on mine. It'll hang with any big bike in the twisties unless you are Yellow Wolf. Just on the fact you shouldn't have to do the work on it like the 07, 08,09 guys had to, think about it.
12000,order e threes off internet,220 let indy replace 100,I would not ride on them tires 70 mph down no rode, change fluids 100,ride the **** outa it,o6 had no problems even had the better flowing heads,oh by the way sos pad and plenty of water will fix that heat shield right up
Would not trade my 06 for a new one!! Bulletproof! As stated earlier, good flowing heads but wimpy cam. Opened up my exhaust, added a tuner, some Andrews cams and she really woke up.
