I have until tomorrow to pick up this bike. I have been riding a fatboy for a long time and because of my wife's back surgery had to look at something a little on the soft ride. I was looking at the road king which I love but found a 2006 Ultra for a price I couldn't resist. So I test rode it and it purrs like a kitten. 10122 on the clock. I have'nt gave any money for it yet but told the party that I would be there to pick up the bike at 5:00 Monday with cash in hand. So pretty much have bought the bike. What I am wanting to know from the guys here as to what to be aware of on a 2006 Ultra. It is a stocker so there will be somethings I will do to it. The guy just rode the bike nothing more. So I have a 36 hours to change my mind but for 9000.00 out here on the West coast for an Ultra isn't bad.
It is a gift at that price with that mileage. Get over there with your cash. I love my 2006 Ultra. It has thousands in upgrades but none were actually necessary. Best of luck.
Can't lose IMO. I'm one who prefers the short stroke 88" with the last cold forged crankshaft they made before bringing out the '07's. Plus that one comes with the "new" Harmon Kardon radio.
Oh wow, I wasn't expecting that big of a response. Thanks guys. Makes me feel better about buying an Ultra. I just have to get use to the fairing in the front. :-)
You're gonna hate it. The '06 is the biggest piece of crap HD ever made. Now, O know you'll be embarrassed to back out of the deal, so give me the sellers phone number and I'll make the excuses for you.
