Hello everyone! I've been lurking on here for a long time and gained a lot of useful knowledge. For that, allow me to say, "Thank You." Now I have come to a crux, I want to add more power to my 2006 FLHRI, but not really sure how to go. Here's what I have:
SERT, SE Stage I, V&H True Duals, SE slip-ons, SE plugs and 10mm Phat wires.
I've been looking at either adding SE 203 cams or the S&S 551 EZ Starts.
You'll get a bunch (and I mean a bunch) of cam comments, but you really need to decide where you want the power. I had Andrews 21's put in my 88 because I love the mountains and could care less about cams that rev past 4500 RPM. I've made the wrong cam choice already thanks to the local dealer, but the indy in the area set me straight.
IMHO if your bike still has the spring type tensioners in the cam chest....they need to go while your in the performance market. Hydraulic or gears, just change them out while you're in there.
Take the time to educate yourself on which cam, as well as other components, that will suit your riding needs. You can dump a bunch of money on components that don't get you what you want....trust me on that one! Talk it over with a trusted Indy in your area. Worked for me!
For what it is worth and based on the way I ride and what I wanted, I am putting the S&S 551 EZ Starts in my 2005 flht. Also doing the SE hybrid kit, SE adjustable tapered pushrods and vthunder lifters.

Try going thru fuel moto and get the woods cams, tell them what parameters you want out of the CAM, or Call Bob Wood himself and ask him. I've had his TW6-6 in now for 3 years and couldn't be happier. My opinion you can't beat his CAMS, but you know opinions.
