Default Backrest fitment from 07 to 2012?

Hello everyone,

We are new to this site, however I have searched info on here plenty of times in the past to find answers to my questions. After a quick search, I didn't find the answer to this one, so I though it was time to join the forum and introduce our selves anyhow. My fiancé and I are getting married in September, flying to Vegas and renting bikes to explore Arizona for a week. Being it too expensive to ride all the way down, and saving time, it's more efficient to fly and rent, rather then take our own. I ride an 07 streetglide, she has an 06. We are renting 2 streetglides again, but they said they don't provide a back rest or bracket to mount one. (I suffer from a minor snowmobile accident and require the use of a back rest after an hour or so on the bike). I plan on taking my own, (with the bracket off the fender) and would like to know if it's going to bolt on to a 1012 glide? They also can't guarantee the bike year, so it may be hit and miss between years... I'd like to know that my bracket will fit other years. I could call HD, but they are closed and we are trying to book flights etc tonight....Any info would be great.

I'll see if I can dig up a pic of the bikes for you folk...

thanks in advance! great site, great people, great life!

The mounting bracket is basically the same, it needs 1 new piece to work on 09-13 bikes, 52590-09, around $6.
