A friend told me once to set the traps with the trip lever against the wall where you suspect they might be coming in.Mice are near sighted and they travel along walls. It worked!!!!!!!!!! No more mice this season.BUT!! It will have to be done every year, mice follow scent trails, and there buddies are always looking for new digs.
Carefull with cats if you get one that likes to spray you will have one hell of a smell to try to get rid of.......My wife has eight cats and one sprayed my bike cover.......whenhe disappeared for a couple of days she swore I got rid of him......thank God he showed back up........I was out of the dog house. Try those sticky mouse traps they walk on them and get stuck...........
Sit in your shop with a paintball gun and bf real quiet. Then BLAM. I have heard about the bounce sheets also. Cats and bikes dont mix. They like to lay on leather fenders tourpak and are not as nimble as people think. I have scratches to prove it on my bike. The cats are an easier target to shoot at..
Nevewr use any mouse bait near anything of value as the bait is just that, "bait". It will draw them to an unwanted area. Glue traps or the old faihtful, wooden spring trap.

When over at a friends house working on my bike we heard a buzzing sound and I asked him what it was we found out it was his Electronic Mouse trap at work. (mouse electric chair) Not sure what brand he has but here is a link to a Victor http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTP...mp;kw=VIC-M250
runs on batt. so you can put them anywere.
I keep my quad and mower and other stuff in a shed and had problems with mice, until my mother told me to try (oil of pepermint) it is used for making candy. Just put it on some cotton ***** and put in your shed. The mice have a very sensitive nose and the smell burns there nose. This is not a joke it really works. I had trouble with them building nest in my air box on the quad and in the fins of my mower. Not any more. In my basement I have suspended ceiling and you could hear them running across the tiles until I threw some cotton ***** with the oil on it up in there. Might have to refresh once a month

I had the problem in my garage but they didnt get to my bike. I tried everything to bait them including peanut butter etc but no dice. I hate cats so I put my Basset Hound on the little bastards trail and she sniffed them out in 5 mins! I whacked them a scuba tank. Picked it up and dropped it on em. Overwhelming force is what I have been taught!
