Document, document, document!! Go to the police station and get a copy of the report and any dash cam video. Ask to talk tou a command officer and talk to them about it. If nothing is done about the damage to your bike go to the prosecutor yourself and talk them what happened and the lack of police cooperation. The bike was stolen and damaged. Drunk is not an excuse.
Was this dick a local, that knew the cops?

You can go to the Justice of the Peace that has jurisdiction and file an "Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle" against this person. It will be up to the Judge to take the charge and issue a warrant for their arrest. You can also file a "Small Claims" against this person for damages to said vehicle.

Sounded like a local,the cop that found my ride at the other bar with this ******* taxied is *** back to his bike and let him ride away.Later that morning I talked to the cops LT. in charge and he said that he didnt see it as theft, his job was to recover only tge bike.I remember I wanted to punch him when he said " Take your bike No Harm No Foul" but him being a cop,well you know. It sucks as these cops at SPI put this dumdass on bullet and let him ride away, he could of killed himself or someone else.

at South Padre Island Beach n Biker fest.I was at the local pub enjoying some BLs and decided to leave around 10pm and my bike was gone.Called SPI pd and reported stolen,they took all the neccesary info and put it out on the air.I left back home and several riding buddies stuck around to wait for any news on my bike,at around 2am my bike was found at another bar.PD questioned the rider and this dumbass was drunk and mistakenly took my bike,he broke my ignition trying to start it.Cops drove him bsck to the first bar and his bike was still there,my buddies were still there also.Friends tried to talk to this poopyhead and then he accused them of taking his bike,thats how messed up he was.Cops pushed my buddies back and allowed this guy to get on his bike and ride away.No charges were placed and I was called to pick up my bike or have it towed, and now Im stuck the repairs.SPI police dept you suck wiennie!!! And as for the the guy that took my bike,I just found out WHO are and I will be seeing you very soon.
