I have an '03 RK that I purchased used with 13x miles. This is my first Harley but not my first motorcycle.
I have only taken a few short rides due to the weather in these parts. I have a vibration that seems wrong to me. It is present mostly between 30mph and 55mph, clutch engaged or coasting. The vibration changes with speed, above 60mph it tends to smooth out.
Wheels/tires are in good shape, no missing wheel weights that I can see. The date code on the tires indicates they were manufactured in '07. Possibly a tire issue of some sort? I cannot detect where any wheel weights would have fallen off the rim.
Just wondering if anybody else has seen this type of issue.
Looks I am headed to the dealer to have them check it out.
Thanks for response's
I spoke to the original owner earlier today. He had a new motor mount installed in the Fall of '12.
So I searched the forum for motor mount stuff. Found a bunch of useful information. Come to find out the motor mount was installed upside down.
I flipped the motor mount this morning and went for a ride. Much better, rides and drive like it should.
Thanks again for your help.
