Website says less than 640 grams. We will see when I get mine.
As comparison my medium skid lid weighs 1015 grams
My mountain bike helmet weighs 350 grams
So if 640 is right its going to be very light.
Please do publish the weight when you get it. I tried to start a helmet weight thread a while back but it didn't go very far. My Fulmer carbon is 700g, suits my neck problems just fine. Seems most people are more concerned with having the smallest profile because the teeniest tiniest helmet is somehow the "coolest" looking.
Allrighty, first, I live in a *no helmet* state, I wear a helmet to protect my noggin, not to *look cool*. I finally gave up on the no mushroom head look and bought a Bell 500. Very retro and offers protection. Life is good!
So which one is the lightest, and how much does it weigh?
Hello the ak88 is the lightest.I dont have a scale that does grams but i pick up the helmets one at a time in the same hand and i can feel the deferance. The other two feel close to the same weight.
I just received my new helmet today the ak88.I thought i would post some photos of my three helmets and let you guys deceied for youself..First helmet on left the smallest and lightest one is a akoury ak88 size large its much lighter and smaller than the other two and it seams to sit lower on your head. The middle helmet is a u-70 skid lid original size large.I dont have to much to say about this helmet.I bought it on line alot of people said it was the lightest and smallest helmet out there. When i received it i took it out of the box tried it on and put it right back in the box.It was not much smaller or lighter than my harley helmet. The third helmet is my harley helmet size large with the pull down viser. My head is 24in it would be and ex-large in all these helmets but i like to go one size smaller it seams to fit better.ALL THREE HELMETS ARE DOT HELMETS.Let me know what you all think.
I have admired the Skull Crush line of helmets from the standpoint of quality and looks, they are not DOT stickered, but you can buy those. I don't know where they come in on the weight side of things.

Why would you say something so stupid?
When someone takes the time and effort to share his experience and includes a VIDEO I think we should all say thank you!
