Are the folks concerned about helmet weight so feeble that it impairs their enjoyment of riding the bike?
I'm an old fart and have done several IBA certified rides, routinely do 600+ mile days during trips and never felt any helmet related fatigue.
So, I don't get the interest in who has the lightest helmet. Educate me.
Carl
PS--I wear 3/4 helmet, though I did buy a 1/2 helmet and did not like it.
I have zero disc cartilage in my neck. Wearing the lightest of helmets ( including my motocross bike ) is of utmost importance. Even my 3/4 was purchased because of lowest weight and lowest profile.
Anybody have a pic of the inside of a Vega?? Videos on their website only show the outside... they seem very careful not to tilt it in a way to show the inside. Hate my T-70 outlaw, too round for my head. Looking for a more oval shaped helmet.
I have the Vega and pretty well pleased with it. If the link works there is a picture of part of the inside.

So you have no cartilage in your neck but you still ride dirt bikes?

I thought the same thing but kudos to him for still being able to enjoy the things he can. I'm a die hard offroad guy myself since the late 80's and would have a heck of a time giving it up. Just have to weight the risks.
I just received my new helmet today the ak88.I thought i would post some photos of my three helmets and let you guys deceied for youself..First helmet on left the smallest and lightest one is a akoury ak88 size large its much lighter and smaller than the other two and it seams to sit lower on your head. The middle helmet is a u-70 skid lid original size large.I dont have to much to say about this helmet.I bought it on line alot of people said it was the lightest and smallest helmet out there. When i received it i took it out of the box tried it on and put it right back in the box.It was not much smaller or lighter than my harley helmet. The third helmet is my harley helmet size large with the pull down viser. My head is 24in it would be and ex-large in all these helmets but i like to go one size smaller it seams to fit better.ALL THREE HELMETS ARE DOT HELMETS.Let me know what you all think.
I can not believe that the three helmets fit the same person. The difference in size is amazing.
