Default Fender Dent!

So I'm cleaning my bike today and I notice this new dent in the top of my KlockWerks Slicer fender... over the past few days, I've taken a bunch of hard potholes, but I never thought that the fender came into contact with the triple tree! Well the proof is in the pudding! Damn!

Lol! Yeah- that's how I'm choosing to look at it. On the grand scale of things, it's not that big a deal. Still, it was kind of a shock to discover.

If it makes you feel any better, I can't see it in the pic, I just see shiny paint.

Even so, it gives it character.

Are you sure it hit the triple tree? The 1st place to make contact is usually the crash bar.
you can install a ricor bump stop and it will prevent this from getting worse. How many inches did you lower the front?

Mine made contact with both a 2" drop and 1" drop. The place I had do the forks the 1st time, their answer was 1st add a 1" then when it still hit to remove the crash bars I did not want the crash bars removed.

I installed the Ricor bump stop and 15w Bell Ray fork oil along with 1" of preload on the springs. If you want something done right ya gota do it yourself.

They then called me and asked how I got the front fender not to hit and wanted to know where to find this bump stop and they do this for a living. not sure why I had to figure it all out 4 them, and they charged me for each tear down.

It's almost impossible to capture on film. However, in person, it's quite obvious. Ah well... it adds character, like you guys have said.

Jesus! I misposted! It didn't hit the tree- it DID hit the crash bar. My bad. Is this a normal thing?

Oh man! How deep are those potholes? It's a wonder you didn't blow a tire.

Some of the roads around here in NJ are awful. Like DANGEROUS awful. I recall hearing a "clink" but the bike kept going with no problems. Rims, tires and forks seem all good.

You could check with a paintless dent removal guy in your area. Hard part will be getting a tool between the tire and and fender.
