Default Toy Hauler Help!

I just got a toy hauler and heading out west for a extended vacation with mama bear. The ramp is on a steep angle. I bottom out(get stuck) at the top of ramp. Any suggestions on what to do that doesn't involve winches and such. Thanks in advance

Depending on how bad you're hitting, you can try a 2X4 (or 2) under the ramp (bottom) and raise the front of the trailer as high as it will go (I assume you have electric landing gear)

I made some blocks out of 2X12 (cut 12" and bolted together with grains crossed to make a 4X12X12) that I used under the corners of the ramp, that and jacking the front of the trailer up was usually enough.

Various things you can try.
If it is a trailer use the tongue jack to raise the front of the trailer, you may want to unhook it from the tow vehicle.
Try lowering the ramp on a small upward (away from the ramp) incline.
You could even make a small ramp to increase the length of the ramp (raising the end).
A couple well placed pieces of 2X10 to lift the tires at the point where the bike bottoms out. (In side and/or on the ramp).
Park the bike on the ramp, raise it up to level then push the bike in.

Try loading the bike(s) with the trailer tongue up as high as possible to reduce the ramp angle.

I have large wooden blocks that are approx 8" X 8" X 30". I cut a 70* angle on the end with a chain saw to make a ramp on it. 45 degree and the truck will not climb over. I drive the trucks rear wheels onto the blocks. This will bring the front of the trailer up and the back down. Trailer is still secured to the truck an will not move. The blocks will not collapse just throw them in the back of truck when hooked up to trailer. Dont have to worry about anyone stealing out the back because its not all shinny and fancy just some wood.

Try adding a 21" front wheel to the front to get more clearance, maybe a 18" to the rear. And then try to tell your wife its "To help clear the toy hauler ramp", see how that goes!

Thanks for ideas. It gets hung up right on the bikes frame cross member. At the top of ramp.

Cool

I had the same issue with one I had, as stated above you need to just raise the tongue of the trailer as high as it will go and then you will have no issues.you need to do that also when you unload the bike.

You may be able to just stand up and walk bike across the threshold. I have to do that to get in my barn.

Use the terrain.
Put the rear tires in a swale or the ramp on a berm.
