This is completely false info. The fixed headlights will have no impact on night time corner riding. Actually the fixed position may have an edge OVER the batwing since your counter steer through a corner would actually point the bat wing headlight in the wrong direction, only slightly though.
I've owned a streetglide, then a road glide, then an electraglide, and now and ultra. Both fairing styles have advantages but my overall preferance is the bat wing.
LOL
Look at the bike in my signature. It is a RGU, I ride because I like it not because I have to.
I was making fun of the people who complain about the fixed headlights and the reach to the stereo. I was not serious...
I chose a bike based on ABS. That was a deal breaker for me. After that, I wanted a touring frame bike. If you get an "old frame" bike then a StabiliTrack or some other type device is all you need to correct any rear steer. Given the price differential for a 0 or 08, I would look at those first.
That's about it in my opinion. Security is nice, and I really wish this RKC had a 5 speed as the 6 is just geared wrong for me. I use 6 only over 75mph, and even then it seems to be too low in the RPMs. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about the rest. 96" is just as nice as a 103", and they both seem just fine for me.
Can I get the station setting for that Bulgarian channel
so I can put it in my pre-sets?

Also with the fixed headlights you will not be able to ride around corners at night and my radio has been stuck on a Bulgarian goat roping channel for 2 years because I can't reach the radio to change the channel!
Dave, main thing is you are okay!! Bummer about your loss indeed, however, now you get to go shopping!!! take your time and find exactly what YOU want!!! Good luck!

Thanks to all for the well wishes. Been out all weekend and all across FL looking for the replacement. Made what I think is a sweet deal on a 07 UC, w/16K miles, V&H ovals, and stage 1 update. Silver and dark cherry red. Already started ordering add on's. Lots of 2010 & 11's out there but $$$$$. Just can't tell ya how good it felt to feel my arms rattling and that distinctive HD sound. Pictures will be posted soon.
